The problems did not seem to be affecting every user of the website, with some able to access onto both the app and its own desktop and internet versions.
WhatsApp doesn't maintain a standing website to look at the access to its platform or if those will be repaired.
Though it has a public-facing Twitter feed, it has not posted since 2016 and often will not notify subscribers of failures. Additionally, it has a formal"WhatsApp Status" account that after tweeting regarding challenges and if they'd be fixed, but that hasn't tweeted because 2014 - even though a series of high-profile failures since then.
Though WhatsApp goes offline relatively rarely, even the tiniest outage can strike millions of individuals. Some situations have also occurred at unhelpful minutes, as when the ceremony broke right in the middle of New Year celebrations.
